Hippu took part into the nationl lure coursing championships in Jyväskylä and was placed 5th in the finals. In qualifying round the fellow competitor was one of the fastest dogs, so all Hippu could do was to follow him behind. In the finals she ran very well and was about to arrive first to the goal, but then just before the goal an unidentified flying object (some identified it as a swallow) distracted Hippu for good, and although some very alert and nice gazing postures were seen, the judges did not value them. Finnish Sight Hound Association's Specialty show was held in Mustiala, Tammela. The judge was Norwegian Arne Foss. This was a rare show for us since both our girls took part in it. Hippu was judged in the intermediate class and Tiiti in the open class. Both girls were finely handled by the breeder Sanna-Maija herself. Hippu got Excellent and Tiiti Very Good. Hippu participated in the dog show in Turku in the intermediate class. The judge was Finnish Zidy Munsterhielm-Ehnberg. Hippu was judged as Excellent and placed 2nd in females with res.CC.

Both Tiiti and Hippu took part in Tampere international lure coursing competition. Both ran very well in the qualifying rounds and Hippu even better in the finals despite of being distracted by the fellow competitor. Tiiti showed the most excellent hunting instinct and maneuvres in the final round, but unfortunately the points are given on different grounds... All in all Hippu was placed 4th with a CQ result and Tiiti 7th.
